Chris Maddocks is the Head of Integrated Strategy at Blue State where he brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience to his client's multi-channel fundraising and marketing challenges. As Head of Integrated Strategy, Chris leads the global strategy practice including both Digital and Direct Mail offerings. As executive lead for a number of global organizations, Chris helps drive brand and revenue growth for causes such as Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children, and Oxfam America. Prior to Blue State, Chris held a number of executive roles across the nonprofit and international sectors. For Seed Global Health, Chris served as the Head of External Relations where he oversaw global advocacy, communications, government relations, and development for an NGO strengthening health systems in four high-burden countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He worked as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at March of Dimes where he oversaw the transformation of the organization's brand, as well as, modernization of the digital, direct mail, and peer-to-peer fundraising portfolios. Prior to that, he served as Vice President in the marketing and communication division at UNICEF (USA) where he led digital innovation, one-time, emergency, and sustainer giving. Chris holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and Bachelor's degree in from Earlham College. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and two children.
