Sarah Bennett

Rooted Edge Consulting

Sarah is an organizational development consultant with 8 years of experience in consulting and 20 years of experience working in-house with nonprofits. She founded Rooted Edge Consulting in 2023 where her team supports clients around search and hiring projects as well as providing management coaching and training services with values centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. A few of Rooted Edge's current and former clients include Mighty Earth, CeaseFirePA, Slingshot, Virginia Conservation Network, The Price Center, and Waxman Strategies.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Sarah was the Hiring and Training Director at Corporate Accountability International, where she oversaw all hiring, designed and ran a training program for managers, supported the design and facilitation of internal training across all departments, and also refined and coordinated the organization's performance review process. Sarah previously worked at U.S. PIRG where she managed teams of grassroots organizers for years, working in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, Colorado, and Washington, D.C. on environmental, consumer protections, and democracy campaigns. She also served as the National Recruitment Director for U.S. PIRG for 5 years.

Sarah has a Transformational DEI Certificate from the Boston Chamber of Commerce and Diversity @Workplace Consulting Group and a B.A, in Environmental Studies from Trinity College, CT. She lives outside of Boston with her family and too many pets and enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and cooking in her spare time.
