It was during the challenging times of a global pandemic that Ben Williams, driven by a profound sense of legacy, stepped into the role of Executive Director. With relentless determination, he resurrected the organization, adapted it to the new normal, and steered it toward unprecedented heights. ● 2017 Adult Achiever Award: Recognized at the Capital District YMCA Black & Latino Achievers Banquet for his exceptional contributions to the community.
● 2017 Leadership in Administration: Assumed a pivotal administrative role at Good Ground Family Church, further expanding his leadership and community engagement.
● 2019 Executive Directorship: Became the Executive Director of the Connect Center, where he embarked on a mission to create a tech-forward space for workforce development.
● 2021 S.T.E.A.M. Lab Inauguration: Successfully launched the Connect Center's S.T.E.A.M. Lab, despite the challenges posed by a global pandemic, providing a cutting-edge educational resource for the community.
