Sofia is a direct marketer that has a strong interest in Multicultural Marketing and Sustainer Giving. Sofia started her nonprofit journey on the programmatic area with Heifer International working on underserved communities in Guatemala. Sofia has participated in the Board of Directors in outreach and fundraising capacities for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). Currently, Sofia serves as a Director of Multichannel fundraising, at Operation Smile, where she is responsible for acquisition and retention through traditional and not traditional channels of Spanish speaking constituents and multilingual sustainer file. She leads the Spanish website strategy and content. Sofia is driven by the opportunity to bring Spanish donors a platform to create a long-lasting impact.
Sofia has participated for three consecutive years as a Judge for the Multicultural Awards at the American National Advertisers (ANA). Judging marketing material for nonprofit and for-profit brands like Walmart, Toyota and Target. Also, Sofia owns Estrada Translation services for over 10 years where she provides culturally appropriate interpretation and translation services for government and nonprofit organizations.
On her leisure time, Sofia enjoys, hiking, traveling, good food, and spending time with her family.
