Chief Executive Officer Mission Kids Child Advocay Center
Join us for an interactive session, relevant to all types of nonprofits, where you’ll play a role in answering these questions:
1. What does well-being mean, why does it matter, and what does it look like in an organization? 2. How can prioritizing well-being make an organization more sustainable (including strengthening donors’ confidence in the organization)? 3. How can strategic planning aid organizations in the workforce well-being journey?
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of staff well-being has become an even higher priority for many organizations. Organizations recognize that prioritizing the well-being of their team members is crucial to protecting them, supporting quality services and a healthy work environment, and reducing turnover. In turn, this fuels greater confidence in the organizations across internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
Join Leslie Slingsby, CEO of Mission Kids, as she shares her experience going through a strategic planning process that prioritized well-being within organizational culture and how the organization adopted a comprehensive approach to promoting well-being, including the creation of a wellness committee, self-care days, free therapy sessions, appreciation days, yoga classes, and financial wellness seminars. You’ll discover more from Lauren Hansen-Flaschen of S&W, who will share additional examples around the what, why, and how organizations of all types are taking well-being seriously in order to maintain a thriving organization.
