Wendy Vizek is the Alzheimer’s Association’s Senior Vice President of Community Engagement and Field Operations. Wendy is responsible for Community Engagement through Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day and other Constituent Events including RivALZ, Reason to Hope and other events including staff and volunteer trainings and overall strategy of the Association's fundraising events. Community Engagement also includes the staff and volunteer program delivery and community education, awareness and outreach. She is also responsible for the Corporate Initiatives team and partnerships, the Boards of Excellence program and Grant Administration program. Through Field Operations, Wendy works to ensure the Association’s Strategic Plan goals are met and partners with the field leaders and department leaders on implementation of the strategic plan. Wendy has been with the Alzheimer’s Association for twelve years, starting as their Director of Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Prior to working for the Association, Wendy served as a front line fundraising staff partner, a market Development Director and a Division special event strategy lead for the American Cancer Society in Florida and Ohio. Wendy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and her M.B.A. from the University of Florida and her Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida. Wendy loves Gator football and spending time at the beach with her family.
