Scot is the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Senior Director for Development and leads the team tasked with raising funds from private donors. Before working at ADRA, Scot served as the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Associate Director of Planned Giving & Trust Services (PGTS), where he helped train and provide consultative service to PGTS programs, primarily in the North American Division. Previously, Scot was the Director of Leadership Giving at Union College (now Union Adventist University) in Lincoln, Nebraska, he was a financial advisor with John Hancock Financial Network and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Scot and his wife, Manuela, whom he met while stationed in Germany, have three delightful, imaginative children that they love dearly.
Scot holds a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), and a Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG).
